This one is interesting to me. I think that goddess goes way beyond putting women on a pedestal. It is to the point of putting them on an altar. You carry them to their car, bathe them, you do their homework from college, you pay for everything, you let them attack you etc. This is when you worship a woman and become completely subservient. The problem is that a woman will always believe that she deserves someone better than herself. She wants someone stronger faster richer smarter and so forth. If you treat a woman like a goddess she will not love you. She will love your devotion and she will test it daily but she will never lust after you or respect you. You will eventually get sacrificed on her altar.

I disagree with your assessment (see my other comment in this thread) of what "treating her like a goddess" means.

Treat her like the goddess that she may be (a tumultuous ball of chaotic energy...that probably causes you excited at times and frustration at others) by applying order and discipline. You will never change her but you may "tame" her such that you both find fullfillment.

If we are talking historical symbolism:

God = Order = Apollonian energy

Goddess = Chaos = Dionysian energy

*Caveat: This distinction is probably unknown to a vast majority of the population.

It tends to make me chuckle whenever I come across it - stupid feminists want to completely remove any male term from their vocabulary and instead say 'Oh thank Goddess' instead of 'God'. It's completely stupid seeing as if you believe in god you are completely contradicting the bible and the 'Father and Son' aspect of God, and if you don't believe in god, it's just more feminist crap about changing and inventing pronouns because they hate anything male.

If you are referring instead to the whole 'Inner Goddess' and empowerment stuff - just more special and unique snowflake bullshit to make them feel good about themselves. If there was a surge in men trying to find their inner 'God' and self-improve they would laugh at off as some male-dominating power fantasy.

A female god, generally not used in academia. often used by SJWs, Pagan and Fat chicks (but I repeat myself) to denote their own belief that they are fabulous.

Never actually worshiped exclusively by any culture.
