TLDR; building upon previous research of genetics -- like produces like, i.e., the children will almost always be like the parents, including when it comes to their political views -- these researches conclude that the moderate middle is diminishing because there aren't enough moderate children being created.

Now our ancestors weren't politically correct and there was no lesbian studies department at your local college dedicated to misinforming the public**, which is why they often practiced eugenics on the "undesirables" -- to diminish the likelihood of their opposition gaining power. They didn't have all this science back then and they went with their gut instincts, based on their experience with human nature.

** Your typical lesbian studies professor will tell you everything is a social construct, including political views, and it may make sense to the uninformed, but if actual scientists (biologists) can narrow politics down to genetics, we should put more weight on analyses that account for genetics, such as this study.

I read a similar hypothesis quite some time ago, from my nigga James Taranto (red pill to the core columnist who actually has a platform in the mainstream media through the wall street journal), called the Roe effect (named after the infamous Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortion on demand). It basically hypothesized that the christian conservative couples will pop out like 50 kids a year and the leftoids will abort most of their children/not have any children (due to them wanting validation for their self-righteousness when it comes to taking a part in preventing the overpopulation of earth -- most childless lifestyle couples are leftoids, you can go verify this by yourself and go outside of reddit and into specific childless internet forums), in essence giving the conservatives the upper-hand in democracy. IF the research on politics being linked genetics becomes more extensive, we could definitely observe and test this hypothesis.

I think the leftoids probably saw this coming, which is why most of them are in academia. Outside the STEM fields, most college departments propagate victimhood status to all types of people: women, blacks, latinos, etc., in hopes of indoctrinating them to fight against the patriarchy/power structure that oppressed them (religion, white men). However I am a firm believer of biology being destiny and no amount of "education" can change a person's mind, for challenging someone's beliefs makes them stronger advocates for their beliefs instead of changing their minds.

Now facts are facts, so there's no matter of opinion there. But what is going on, in particular with lesbian studies, is that they are misinforming the public, with their academia leverage, instead of challenging them. Take for example the most common myth that is often repeated: gender is a social construct. Most biologists disagree and there is absolutely no evidence supporting that claim. However just because they heard this claim from their lesbian studies college professor or read it on their "ATHEISM RULESZ" blogs, people will take it for granted and accept it. Another example is the abortion lobby: they'll misinform the public and claim abortion just removes a clump of cells but if you ask biologists, embryologists, and abortion doctors themselves, they'll tell you that abortion kills a human being.

SO to my traditional brethren, go on and breed! Every year if you can!

I know this is not the main thrust of your post, but being from that field I can tell you that any biologist or medical professional without any political bias/agenda would never make such a misleading claim.
