Let me start this off by saying that I am a relatively new member of TRP. I joined a few months ago, and I continue to see a common theme about children. Time and time again i see posts about guys who by their posts would sound like solid father material dissuaded from having children because of not finding someone responsible enough to handle raising kids with.

This got me to thinking about the guys that want to have children and teach them about TRP and being a man in general, would it not be possible to adopt a child, even as a single man, so as to raise them without the danger of being in a committed LTR or marriage with a irresponsible woman whose hamster is fully functioning?

Sure it would definitely be very difficult for the first few years as baby raising takes up a lot of time and attention. So maybe the best option would be adopting an older child, maybe around the 4-7 age range? That way the child is not as helpless and doesn't need to be watched over 24/7 like a young child or baby.

Personally I would really love to raise a child later on, after I finish college. I love kids, I'm good with kids, but ever since I took the RP plunge I feel like I'm looking at the world in a new light, and its definitely depressing to read the divorce rape posts and I definitely do not want that to happen to me. I don't use TRP to get laid, because I want to save it for marriage (personal choice, not for lack of options), but the women I am meeting are so far from marriage material it makes me sad for my generation! This is what was making me think that adoption might be a viable option for some. Should I more seriously consider adoption as a possibility, or should I continue searching for that "diamond in the rough" of a marriageable girl?
