Forgot to mention, in the past I would have oneitised to death over her. I definitely had to fight it this time, but belief in myself first made it a lot easier.

This kinds of tilts up my curiosity. What exactly do you mean by your dating "not exactly going anywhere" ? Could you be a little bit more specific ? I'll be upfront and say my intuition here is you just let yourself knocked by some anti-slut bitch-shield. This is just some resistance we all have to go through to get the prize. Perhaps if you had texted a few days later you'd have banged that chick... (happened to me several times in many different countries!)

No spark, she was friendly and polite but it was pretty clear that there wasn't any will to do it again. No flirty vibes of any kind.
Just as well; I realized later that she actually reminded me of someone from college that I truly nearly died from oneitis over......

Theeeeeeeen.... next ! You've provided enough commitment/investment and if she doesn't value this, don't waste anymore resources on it. Also, (just a hindsight) maybe it didn't spark because you didn't make it spark. How was your game ? Was your frame set & tight ? Did you convey "alphaness" and higher value (you know, the usual gaming shit).
Usually, when I feel like I performed poorly on a date and am about to delete the phone number, I just ask for a 2nd date. Even if I had my mind set already on NEXTing the damn girl, I just do it to up my game and have the bitch cringe for my dick before I ditch her ou - just for the lulz and the extra ego-boost.
Already nexted, thanks. Just getting the number/date/no-flake is plenty of victory for one attempt. Literally the first girl I have asked out this decade.
Could I have pushed more? Maybe, but I don't have the looks, height, or other DHV to pull the real dark stuff off, and not into hedonism or slut-hunting.
Mostly this was trying out some of the redpill lessons on someone that I might actually want to have around on the off chance that she's receptive.
Frankly I'm happily surprised at the levels of success on this attempt. Hell, most of the big PUAs have single-digit ratios anyway. Mostly wanted to post for other guys who may have been reading for awhile but haven't actually gone out and tried it yet.
Just try once this week, and go in expecting nothing to happen. A little bit might, and that does wonders for confidence.
