Howdy fellow RedPillers,

Been lurking this sub for a few months and applying what I wasn't before (ex-cruiserweight boxer, stopped lifting for 3yrs, LTR made me "soft" and breakup, while not devastating by itself, in conjunction with other factors led to a 2yr chronic depression, still went with no meds, now I'm back to lifting and out in the field). This is my first time posting so please disregard formatting and lack of flair.

In this post I just point out some terms that are heavily misused in (and sometimes out of) this community:

  1. Cuck: short for cuckold. A cuckold is someone who knows his significant other cheat on him or disrespect him, either in his presence or not, and allows or doesn't mind it. The key word here, and the reason it is misused, is "knows". Otherwise he's just a fool for not paying attention to what goes on in his kingdom, and one cannot draw any conclusion concerning whether or not he would react, and how.

  2. Alpha: now this is not so much a general trait of character as it is a status, and is debatably the hardest to define in the most concise terms, but the most common acceptable definition of an alpha is "the leader/the elder of the group, the one everybody else bows to". As such, it is not quantifiable, which makes expressions like "more alpha" or "the most alpha" erroneous. The term you should be using, which denotes a quantifiable trait, is "dominant". As dominance has degrees, and the most dominant member of a group isn't always the alpha.

  3. Beta: as the other end of the alpha/beta dichotomy, this is also a status, not a character trait. And it is simply defined as the opposite of an alpha, so if you're not THE alpha, you're a beta. This is in no way devaluing as betas are the body of the group, and as such, make for the bulk of its productivity. In many animal species, the alpha only leads the hunt, choosing the prey and giving the "Go!" signal, and it's the betas who make the kill. The correct substitute, when talking about a character, is "submissive".

  4. Amused Mastery: In the simplest of terms, this is solid knowledge of the mechanics of social interaction. Meaning that you read not only the text, but also the message, and deduce the intent from the concurrence/discrepancy between both. So you can't really "use" amused mastery, you can only "have " it. And based on your amused mastery, you can navigate the social world using the different techniques that you've learned (A&A, Disregard, Nuke, Pressure Flip, etc.).

That's about it for now, but I will be updating the list as I find more misused terms and the correct alternatives.
