Of that I have no doubt. For as long as mankind has existed there has been a continuous flow of future conquerors born into the worst conditions. Genghis Khan and John D. Rockefeller spring to mind. Khan, his father killed and he and his family cast out and left to die, founded the Mongol Empire, the largest contiguous land empire in history. Rockefeller, born poor on a farm in the Midwest, who established his rule during the infancy of the Industrial Revolution with an iron grip on the heartbeat of it all: oil.

I do think that neither the world's political nor economic systems can long survive so much concentrated power as we saw then or see now.
