Field report from yesterday.

I got invited to a bar by a group I met some time ago, I did not plan to game and mostly went to have fun and get to know my new co-worker. After a while in the bar I noticed a beautiful exotic girl approaching the group, I did not know her but she knew the group. She greeted another girl with a kiss and a hug, I asked jokingly wheres my kiss and surprisingly she came to me and tried to give me a kiss on the lips, but I decided to tease her and turned it to a kiss on the cheek and a hug, group laughed and the girl acted offended while laughing. Seems like I am going to game tonight, huh.

I did not talk to the girl exclusively, it was a bit hard in the group as I was enjoying my time with others too. I kept playfully teasing her about her language problems and eventually she couldnt start talking to me without mild laugh and smile when I grinned at her mistakes. She was interested about my silly looking necklace, I reminded her where my eyes are and her and group reaction was same as with the kiss. At some point I gave her a sort of nickname "special", I teased by using it as both bad and good thing and also her friends started to get intrigued what did I really think of her.

Later on I went alone to get a drink for myself, almost immediately the girl came and playfully slapped the back of my head with a wet hand while she was going to ladies room. Acting offended I demanded her to help me pick a drink for me when she came back. While browsing the menu she started talking how she does not understand why am I being like this, usually guys tell her she is cute and buy her drinks. Wow, okay so I know I am new to this thing but I already recognized the last part to be true gold to my ears. This made my evening and I didnt really care what happened from this point forward. I told her that it might be because I have not made a decision what I think about her, that she seems "special", but also a bit boring. She was genuinely surprised by this and started qualifying hardcore. After she told me being top contenders in a dance competition in her country I teased if it was twerking or folkdance, my god I have never got so many playful hits on my arms. She acted (and probably was a bit) offended and went back to the group, this is where my big fail came. I didnt do anything, I followed her back to the group.

It was getting late and I had early shift so I left, didnt bother to ask her number.

I am really glad about my success, these are huge leaps in very short time for me. But still I would like to hear your opinion what I should have done differently? I believe the key moment was when she left the bar area and I should have hugged her or something to give her a bit acceptance or something as I was teasing her all night long.

Btw, she did mention to have a boyfriend, but also never failed to mention that he lives far away. I didnt acknowledge or talk anything about the boyfriend, she seemed to be fine with it, I am not advanced enough to do anything else really.

TL;DR: Went to a bar to have fun with new friends, got a hot chick really interested about me and failed to seize the right moment to move from playful physical contact to more sexual contact.
