Damn, that just blew my mind. Makes a lot of sense. When would you break this rule, if at all?

I'm especially curious about its applicability in group situations where there are things at stake (ex: at work).

Emulate alpha behavior when you are or want to be amog. Assuming you have a job with a boss, you are not amog on paper, you do things as the boss wants them. Doesn't mean you can't take initiative and all that.
