Well, if you look at it from a Game perspective, you could say that you got cockblocked because you failed to win over her group before/while escalating.
On the other hand, sometimes it is not meant to be.

Im drunk.
People who do this on a consistent basis will tell you that alcohol, while being a social lubricator, will leave you not in total control of the interaction. As you know the man is completely responsible for orchestrating the interaction from start to finish. So keep this in mind the next time you drink.
Mistakenly call her by her friend's name. My bad I know. Was really drunk. Friend's name very similar. Didn't know how to recover. She hates me.
What do you mean you didn't know how to recover. You can be more specific here, however 2 things. One, if a mean joke offends a girl, that means you haven't set the tone correctly at the start of an interaction. Remember: girls will always play into the frame that you set. When you change it, that's when they will throw a fit. A girl that gets teased by some guy who is always nice to her is going to turn her off, however a guy that approaches that is unapologetic but still charming is going to get away with it, because he set the expectations of who he was up front.
The reality of the situation is that even not setting the expectation, I see you giving way too much of a fuck at the end. In my mind when she got angry, you could have acted like you were having as much fun in the world as possible, started cracking jokes, switch the subject, or even tried to make it worse just for humor. But she gets mad, you think it's a big issue, she gets up, you get up, you tell her to have a good night... the problem is, is that you're tying success to how women feel about you. Fuck em. If you would have had a fuck you attitude, you could have possibly saved this. Womens emotions don't matter, but if you solidify them, they do. She got angry and you accepted her emotion as valid, and that was the end for you. If she would have gotten angry and you would have stayed cool, make some quip / joke, deflected, Agree and amplify, ignore..... basically anything that actually acknowledge her anger, then I think things would have went a lot more better for you.

The more I think back on it the more I see me giving too much a fuck at the end too. I shouldve, as you said, reigned it in or made light of it to show her mini melt down didn't bother me. Actually, with the bitchy flirty back and forth she'd been giving me, I probably shouldve been less invested with our interactions in general im guessing. So hot though, I got carried away

I don't drink out in public anymore, things get too sloppy too quick and not in the good way. Fights can turn into a bloody mess if everyone is drunk. With women you can lose even with a good hand. In your case you drank, it affected your faculties, called out wrong name right before you bagged her. You were likely in and made one mistake at that exact moment where you just had to play it cool for a little bit longer. It happens. It's a failure but learn from it when you are sober.

Did you put up any kind of fight when she said she was leaving?
I have noticed how when you show sexual interest women will sometimes take on a "youre no good " attitude and just wont let it go. That was the case with this incident. It can make you end up feeling like a rapist or something. Is this a bad sign? Is this just childishness to be ignored or is there a good way to get past this?
