I was talking to a girl who's been with her bf for 6 years. They love each other, she says. He's her one and only. Her best friend.

She's been talking to him about marriage. She'll be earning twice as much as him soon. She wants a pre-nup to protect herself. However, if he ends up going to police academy and going up the ranks, he'll end up earning more than her. If that happens, she won't want a pre-nup.

You can always trust a woman to be a woman.

I know this girl well. I don't respect a lot of women (nor men), but I've always had respect for her. When she said that, I wasn't even surprised due to TRP.

Later on she admitted that she'd resent him if he didn't earn as much as her, or more. It's funny how love takes a backseat so quickly.

So, yeah, just don't marry.

If it comes to divorce either a) you both hate each other or b) she is just leaving to get you money. Granted this isn't all cases but most I'd assume. In both scenarios the man will lose the money.

Marriage doesn't accomplish anything other than making it harder and more costly come separation time. I understand the nature of your situation but take a step back for a minute. You really want to eat the same moldy bread the "rest of your life"? Imagine yourself driving down the road in 8 years with her beside you as you are making a 5 hour drive for a family vacation and you literally have nothing to talk about. Much easier for one of you to pack your shit and go when the flame runs out, divorce is a pain in the ass.

Assuming a world where white knight judges don't wipe their asses with prenups and divorces are fault-only (makes a good jerk off fantasy), marriage looks a bit more tempting because I would like to have children and raise them in a two parent household. If I didn't want children I wouldn't even consider it. Even without divorce-rape threats, you're still stuck with her forever and you can get the same perks by not marrying.

I only enter proper relationships with women who show some signs of being good mothers and wives. Any woman that wants a ring but no children are downgraded to plate status immediately.

First off, never believe anything a woman says, only believe what they do. Women run off of emotions and their emotions can change in the blink of an eye. She could love you and trust you now and completely mean it. It will be absolutely true and you won't see it as a lie, but come time to see her negative side she will change all of those things she said in a flick of a hormone.

If you could move somewhere where the laws couldn't interfere and force you to part with your resources upon divorce it might be worth it to you, but that probably isn't going to happen.
