Summary Well this post has been long overdue now. I had a much dreaded conversation with an SJW a few weeks ago, which brought to light many things. Most of these revelations are hardwired in us by now, some we are still mastering.

Body Not too long ago, I had a football match cancelled at the last minute, so I decided to catch up with an acquaintance from school. I always knew this person was progressive - supports gay/ trans/ wolfkin rights, liberal views, always voicing concern for what goes on in the news, anti war, you know the kind. Nevertheless, I always thought she was rational and not too far gone. Bloody hell was I wrong. I had agreed to meet up for beers, but stepped into the jaws of hell unknowingly. I will try to keep this short and cover all the points of the discussion. Note that I would like to keep politics and morals out of TRP, and I have merely expressed my opinions.

  • She first bought up the immigration crisis we’ve all been hearing about. The 71 people dead in a truck in Austria. I suggested that while it was a tragedy, it was their own fault for trying to sneak into a country. Every country has the right to refuse entry to refugees, and no one is morally obliged to help in this Scenario. Shit storm one commences.
  • I bought up Sweden as an example. I think refugees pouring in will cause rapes and crimes to skyrocket in the respective countries. *Sweden is a is paradise. What's wrong with Sweden? *
  • Which brings us to women’s issues. Did you know that women get paid less than men? Its true guys! The oppression! I argued using facts and logic. Somehow, she won that round. Women get paid less for the same job. Believe it.
  • I was coming to terms with this arena now. Facts were useless. Statistics can do one. The reality is that women are oppressed and immigrants are peaceful angels that should be welcomed with open arms into any country they wish to go to. Reason has no ground.
  • It gets worse. Now I do not discuss TRP with anyone, but I had been sliding in TRP tenets into the discussion all evening. We moved onto relationships. I suggested that men used to be rocks, now they cry every chance they get. Her boyfriend cries to her now and then, and that is acceptable. She is open to such a dynamic, and wants more guys to do the same.
  • I suggested that men are getting weaker, and it is extremely easy to be higher than average today. But satanicpriest, what is wrong with being average? Some people are happy that way? Why do you feel the need to lift weights and outdo yourself and others?
  • Her views on fitness would make /u/GayLubeOil blow his brains out (squats are bad for your knees btw), but what can you expect from a chubby feminist who strives to remain average?

After a couple hours of this, I had enough. I had slyly bought up every issue we talk about here, and it was all: just because one woman divorce raped her husband, doesn’t mean they all do. One girl falsely accused someone of rape. They don’t all do that. A few illegal immigrants commit crimes. But the other thousands waiting to get in will all be friendly human beings. I saw off my last beer, split the check, and left. This episode really drove the point home. I had to keep my opinions to myself, or echo those of my peers. Agree with everyone. Add to their thoughts. Feign sympathy. Then carry on with your kick arse journey towards to the top 10%. Say one thing but do the other. You cannot convince these people. Just agree with them and move on.

I am glad I pulled my finger and penned down my first post. I will work on my writing now and hope to contribute more meaningful posts in the near future.

Lessons Learnt:

  • You cannot argue using facts.
  • In fact, even getting into such arguments will paint you as a misogynist.
  • Black knighting is the end game. Had I agreed with her, I could have used her arguments against her at a later stage.
  • I was fortunate to be with just her. Had her peers been there, there would have been a lot more screaming, yelling and shaming.
  • Do not discuss TRP. We already know this. Whip out the pills only when a bro is marrying a hoe.
  • Hold frame. Throughout the evening, I was manspreading all over my chair, and my voice was firm but not loud. I did not stoop to her level. My volume was low, my emotions nonexistent. This really wound her up. I observed her throwing her hands about, almost falling out of her chair, trying to make me give in.
  • Look around you. People are painfully average. It is extremely easy to triumph over these androgynous zombies. However, compare your progress to yourself. Not others around you.

tl;dr Well, we have to end apartheid for one. And slow down the nuclear arms race, stop terrorism and world hunger. We have to provide food and shelter for the homeless, and oppose racial discrimination and promote civil rights, while also promoting equal rights for women. We have to encourage a return to traditional moral values. Most importantly, we have to promote general social concern and less materialism in young people.
