TRP & the “manosphere” – which is a horrible name, but there’s some interesting posts out there- aren’t monolithic. You’ll find some posts and posters you like more than others.
For example, for myself, I find a lot of value in reading the posts at Rational Male & Yohami, whereas some other popular bloggers (I won’t name names) are kind of windbags or blowhards. Of course, others might disagree on which are which, and that’s totally fine.
As for this subreddit, it does tend to skew heavily towards linking to other discussions on reddit that exhibit the kind of thinking we disagree with, or that tend to back up TRP philosophy. In these cases, TRP can almost appear like a bizarro-world verison of SRS- similar methods but with a diametrically opposed philosophy.
In other words, yes, TRP as a subreddit can be something of a circlejerk at times- and that’s not a criticism of TRP itself nor the mods here, I think it’s just a natural effect that subreddits in general have, regardless of topic. As far as really diving deep into the meat of the ideas of TRP, I suggest checking out some of the blogs on the subject- many of the links on the sidebar are quite an excellent place to start.

Then ask a specific, pointed question about points you find unclear.
