Summary:

Guy gets killed in my apartment complex. Facebook suppresses the link to the local paper describing the incident.

Body:

I was going to hang out with a buddy last night, so I got to drinking a bit early. At about 7, he bailed on me, so I just played video games and drank beer. I've wasted far too much time already drunk at bars, I'm done with that. Day game all the way, bars are OK when sober, not 4 beers in, esp. these college bars for an old guy like me. By the way, Soul Caliber is a great game, because you can design your own characters and give them enormous breasts and skimpy clothes.

I wasn't entirely unproductive. I flaked out my climbing rope, sat in my harness drinking beer & practicing knots....might need to be careful of state dependent learning! Drinking & climbing is something to be careful of. Anyway, about 10 o'clock 4 or 5 shots rang out. I was pretty ripped, shrugged it off, brushed my teeth & crashed.

I'm on the ground level. Turns out a dude on the 3rd floor was killed. Don't know him, it means nothing to me. It wasn't random. I'm as safe today as I was yesterday, and now it will be harder for them to raise rent.

I posted a link to Facebook.....no one can see it. I had 3 different family members and friends try. What the fuck? I mean fucking jihadists organize on Facebook, but serious news from my place of residence is suppressed?

What's more....again, I don't give a shit, but I could see snowflakes freaking the fuck out. What if I was some girl, posting in order to get support?

Perhaps it was suppressed because they are cracking down on violence in general, but this is a well known paper that I linked to. Perhaps they just don't want to show anybody anything that that person doesn't want to see. Like the world is a fucking dangerous place.

Conclusion:

This sort of censorship harms the snowflakes Facebook pretends to protect.

I'm headed off for more work, then down to the brewery to hang with buddies. I'll respond to any comments tomorrow.
