You have a mild case of pussy pedestalisation syndrome. You obviously want to bang the 8s, but instead you settle with any easy rotation of plain Janes.
This is understandable, but what happens is when you chance on an 8 every six months as you say, you consciously (or subconsciously) think "oh my god I have an eight I better be EXTRA NICE to her to keep her around....do you see where I am getting at?
ideally I would have a rotation of all 7.5-8.5's...but it just seems like this is hard to ask for.
Why is it a hard ask? All girls are biologically similar, these ones just chanced on pretty features.

It's not that it is all 8's. I approach often and will bang an objective 7-8 here and there (most tend to not be as good in bed as the 6's). But there tends to be an 8 that my body views as a 10 that comes around... and no other girls seem to come close. The last time that happened, I got into the relationship, pedestaled her for sure, lost my edge, and it ended poorly.
I'm hoping I have swallowed the red pill deep enough that this does not happen again and I simply won't be viewing chicks as 10's anymore. Or, maybe the trick is when I feel like I've scored that 10, I gotta go balls-to-the-walls macking to find another one that will help me realize that the one isn't all that.

All of this can be solved by having an abundance mentality. Aka: spin more and hotter plates.
And remember, there's no such thing as an objective 10. Only a subjective 10 which in itself is a pedestalised 8.
