The tone of this post will be as formal as possible in order to convey events exactly as they happened.
PREFACE
A while back when just starting out I opened my dad's eyes to the dating market by spoon-feeding him red pill theory. I was asked to update some members back then about how this process would unfold. Here it is. I began by saying "these were my experiences" and ideas or "my buddys" that I happened to witness. Over time as my father began internalizing what I had shared and opening up I eventually gave him a copy of both Rational Male books. After reading it and discussing it with him I finally pointed him to this sub and other blogs I got all my original ideas from. Important Note: As he was going through marriage troubles and eventually divorce I used these events as an opportunity to spoon-feed him the knowledge. People have to be willing to accept red pill; looking for it before accepting it. For my dad him and I were openly talking about girls and stuff during this times so he was actively searching for it. Whenever I would try to give him some advanced knowledge hoping it would help him quickly connect the dots and get better results, he would become defensive. It's best to not redpill someone who isn't asking for it in some way.
BODY
Watching your dad turn red pill has been, for lack of a better word, an insightful experiment of human nature. I saw him go through nearly the exact thoughts and troubles I did swallowing the pill and gaming women. This just goes to show how predictable human nature really is. My father was raised by a beta male (my grandfather) who is a good man. A gentle man. And a smart man. But still beta. Although I had led my father to all these truths that he agreed with, it took him too much time before splitting with his recent wife and tackling life on his own again.
Initially I felt that redpilling him was not a good idea but I didn't want him to be buried in the inevitable divorce. Whenever he wasn't agreeing with me he was spouting blue pill hate speech at me. Claiming I was trying to 'be big alpha man' and that these ideas weren't good for me. That was about 2 years ago. Now I've lost weight, gained muscle, had more experience with girls, and started a company. Was it good for me red pillers? You tell me, haha. So during this time I noticed something crucial: My father's behavior in his marriage rubbed off on me. What I perceived from his social dynamics with his wife told me was "normal". Me being young and not married I took the impression that everything was fine in the house hold. I basically learned how to be disrespected because he was allowing himself to be disrespected because his father allowed himself to be disrespected. It took me a year of asking questions from my whole family to piece it all together. My family had a terrible definition of what respect was. I respected myself enough to take care of myself, dress myself well, my emotional peace was important, my career was important, but when it came to people our definition of respect had no rules for making boundaries, walking away, and biting back if people verbally cut us down. I came to learn why I was the way I was. I understand both the bluepill and redpill. Luckily you don't need to 'see the whole picture' like I did to run any game and get women. A year later my dad would be divorced, have some savings, and getting back out there and I was proud of myself.
Gaming for him was easier than it was for me. Although I an more red pilled than he was, it took me a while to get lays from 19-20+ year olds. In comparison, he was scooping 4-6 women in their 30s in just a matter of a few weeks and then basically seeing 2 of them on and off for months. He would share his game stories and while being awful at game still managed to keep their interest. His Tinder lights up like crazy while mine was as dry as the Sahara. Those SMV charts aren't wrong. What was frustrating was the fact that he would ask me questions about his interaction with the girls and I would see where he would go the wrong way and I'd give him advice along with where on this sub to read more about it. Then he would proceed to get defensive. When he got emotional like that he would turn into an argument machine. He gets stressed very easily. I see where I got it from.
It was like I was the dad and he was the child. As soon as I had that realization I knew I was officially my own man and on my own in this world. I had outgrown my dad completely. On a positive note he did some things when dating these women that I would have never thought to do so there's still more I can learn from him. You can learn from everybody.
So he begins killing it at work and negotiating his salary more which I was ecstatic to hear. He was going out on dates and while fumbling often still had success which made me have hope. I has the thought maybe with as many years he has on him maybe swallowing the pill would be 'faster' and so soon maybe he'll outshine me and I can be the one coming to him with the questions. My small company was making money and I was doing well too. Then his car broke down that would cost him most of his savings since after the divorce. I invited him to stay with me for a month so that he could recuperate and find a new place nearby.
My father is more like a friend now. We're too different. Either it's always been this way or I've become this way. I see a lot of his personality has obvious as night and day furthering the evidence that people are just predictable animals. Like machines with buttons you can press the right way and get what you want. But the longer he has stayed here, the more I see how much blue pill he has left. Which reminds me that perhaps I'm as obvious as night and day to others. One of the worst traits from him however is that he always has an excuse for everything. While we are sharing a small space, the electricity has gone up, he's bought furniture we didn't need, he's done things for me that I didn't ask for, and we end up arguing. These days he keeps telling me about the new girls he's talking to and it is annoying. I never did that. I lived my red pill in secret save for sharing this knowledge with him. I never told him what girl I was talking to or seeing. I can no longer come to the challenges I am facing in my business or with personal growth because now he tells me I am complaining. I was shocked to hear that one. I still treated him like my dad and still seek his wisdom on business and people but I suppose now those days are over. He's like a different person completely. He's not my dad. He's not red pilled dad like he was a few months ago. He's sort of gone blue pill again except now he goes on dates. He's accused me of causing my own troubles with red pill knowledge although he is living in my apartment that I pay for with my company. He threw the fact my company isn't making as much money as before. When I would try to reason with him he would just project right back to me claiming that all the things I said he was doing was actually me the whole time. Where have I heard that one before? From my BPD ex-girlfriend. Hardcore projection.
As this tale comes to a close, I have told him he has to find a place to stay before September. He went on to say all kinds of stuff I am not going to share with you but they were all equally shocking as they were manipulative. It was like there was an argument machine in the room. One second he was yelling. The other he was asking why I do all these things. Then he's accusing me. Then other he's apologizing. The entire time I hardly said a word. Just watched him go from one strategy of getting me to talk to another. As if he was looking for a hook to get me to say something and be reeled back into what he called a discussion. When I walked away he called me an asshole. I simply said space and distance is completely healthy and that I would not further engage in this argument. He ranted a bit on that one too. I went outside for some solitude and fresh air, closing the door behind me.
I still have hope for him. I think he's just stressed with everything happening. Like Cipher desperately wanting to go back into the matrix, taking his frustrations out on the crew. He's intelligent but he has a lot of bluepill to shake off him. Hell I'm young and in my twenties, two years deep into this shit and I'm still catching myself in old bluepill habits I've never noticed. Shaking myself out of two generations of blue pill programming; with no support, no help, no extra set of eyes; is going to be the hardest thing I've ever done I can't imagine what it's like for him. Still I need to treat him like anyone else and set firm expectations like telling him when he has to go. The redpill has helped him but we'll see where things go in another years time.
LESSONS LEARNED:
-
You MUST treat blue pill men and women the same. Expect blue pill men to shit-test you over trivial things and yet write them off as something critical (much like gas-lighting). Expect blue pill men to get overly emotional. Don't expect logic from this group.
-
Human nature is predictable.
-
People are just animals, including your dad. With the right situation, he too will behave like the rest
-
Your old man still has some tricks up his sleeve you can learn from if you watch.
-
When red pilling your dad, he's no longer someone you can seek wisdom from. He's become just another person.
-
Don't out-right mention the redpill at first. Tell your dad they were your experiences or someone elses.
-
Don't expect your dad to go on the sub. He will read the books (No More Mr. Nice Guy and Rational Male Series).
-
Older dudes really have the game on an easier difficulty. Girls of all ages throw themselves at them.
-
Don't be too hard on yourself. You had the cards stacked against you and that's ok. Just aim to improve.
-
Self-respect is a learned behavior
-
If you need to help your bloopie dad like I did, be sure to set firm rules of the arrangement and a timeline when he needs to leave. Remember that your peace of mind is more important than anything ever. This can probably be tied back into self-respect.
