In order to hold frame, one needs to essentially have a world of their own. In order to hold a reputation, one needs only act and certain assumptions will be made. Reputations come from actions.

According to certain RP literature, one should always guard their reputation and avoid social self-destruction. If that is the case, there must be a balance between holding frame and being a self made recluse.

Where does this balance fall?

For the average beta, this is one of several hangups that determine success in deprogramming, and yet I ask: where does the balance fall?

Touching every girl can earn both positive and negative reputations. The same for avoiding touch. The same for many other cases. How does one successfully maximize their efforts to assert themselves without shooting themselves in the foot socially?
