I willingly got a vasectomy several years ago.
/r/childfree strikes me as predominantly feminist and blue pill. There seems to be a few RP or what I would consider to be more "level-headed" visitors (even a few females), but they definitely seem to be in the minority. And many of them have issues about children that I just don't share (various phobias, environmental concerns, ideological bullshit, blah, blah, blah, etc.). This is unfortunate, but expected.
I'm posting in TRP because I want to get laid. I want to get laid a lot. And there's absolutely no reason I shouldn't be having all kinds of crazy sex with multiple partners all the fucking time. So why aren't I?
Ever since I've gotten the snip I've been thinking "all right, the deed is done, where are all the nubiles coming out of the woodwork taking advantage of the risk-free, guilt-free sex I can offer?"
Crickets.
I don't like children. I never have. And I never wanted any. I prefer money, freedom, and sleep, and I quite honestly can't stand to be around anyone that isn't at least 21 years old. But children are (unfortunately) the focus of our society.
Now, I got sterilized mostly for the simple reason that I just don't want them, but it's kind of disgusting how kid-centric the world is. Yes, they're scapegoats. Yes, they're raised to be entitled, arrogant, and obnoxious. Yes, they're often neglected and out of control. Yes, the planet's full. Whatever, such is life. In the end, I don't care about the environmental impact. I just don't want them myself.
Nevertheless, getting laid with this attitude and this mindset (no matter how true it might be for me) has been extremely difficult, as anyone might suppose.
I've learned that being sterile comes with a very difficult "inner game" to be played that nobody ever warns you about beforehand. But the other night I had an epiphany and finally realized what's been missing all these years.
A thought that has often been at the forefront of my mind is: should I keep my vasectomy a secret or not? I've let a few girls know and as a result, it seems they became disinterested, even to the point of being turned off by the lack of the "risk" of pregnancy. I've had enough incredibly disappointing experiences that the message seems pretty clear.
I've even discussed sex with childfree women and propositioned them before. The result has been surprising. "I'm childfree, you're childfree. Let's have sex strictly for pleasure!" Something about that just doesn't fire things up. I've even managed to drive away a few childfree women, as rare as they may be (likewise a rarity are childfree men, I'm finding).
The answer to me seems obvious. I have to hide it and embrace my biological imperative. Like it or not, I have to trick myself into thinking that it's now time to spread my seed and "impregnate" every woman I see. I have to do my job, so to speak, even if I'm cheating at it.
When dealing with a potential partner, the issue of whether either of us wants kids should be dodged and avoided in general. If and only if I happen to be dealing with a childfree woman, only then do I admit my sterility after she's made her position and interest clear. "I'd love to fuck you but I don't ever want to get pregnant." "That's okay baby, you have nothing to worry about." Hmm, still very tricky. Maybe childfree women just aren't what I should be looking for if I'm interested in sex, after all?
Deep down inside I realize that it won't happen regardless: I'm neutered and that's that. But that isn't a selling point for women. They just don't buy it. Most of them can't because of their own biology. The need to reproduce is animalistic and is extremely intense for certain women. The vast majority of women, especially, can't see past it. I should capitalize on that.
Being able to pass "I love kids, don't you?" shit tests is tremendously difficult for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I've talked to a few women and they told me themselves that there's something very erotic about the mere thought of baby-making. For years, I have disagreed and fought tooth and nail to avoid it. Now, even though I am in a position to avoid almost all risk, worry, and guilt, I need to shut up about it and I have to find a way to agree. I need to be able to look into an 8's or a 9's eyes and think to myself "let's make a baby!" Because, whether they will admit it or not, it seems that deep down inside, pretty much every woman would find this to be an enormous turn-on.
Sex for pleasure is great. But sex for "reproduction" could be a great source of pleasure for guys in my situation, if we would let it.
I'm creating this thread for discussion about "inner game" from other guys who have undertaken permanent birth control.
