First thing you have to realize is Facebook is God's gift to beta-orbiters because they can much more easily feed a woman's thirst for validation. Therefore, your "liking" or "commenting" on her shit is NOT going to seperate you from her trophy beta collection.

That being said, social media is here and it's not going anywhere. What must a man do but adapt?

Here's my rules for facebook:

Never like any pictures of a female (unless it's your niece, and I can't resist my nieces 1 year old cute face).
Never comment on said pictures of a female (eg. wow, you're hot!)
NEVER validate any status posts she puts up.
If she tags YOU (and not you with 10 other guys) in a funny post, puts up something flirty/cute on your wall, etc you LIKE the shit out of that. She's earned your validation. Remember, you aren't like-whoring everything she does, so by liking something rarely it'll be more valuable (if you want to get all scientific, the dopamine kick she gets from your like will be stronger since it's more rare).

So, that puts you off her "radar" right? No. That puts you off her beta-orbiter radar. SHe'll have 25 likes of a picture of herself in a bikini. Of the 25, probably 23 are of idiot beta guys feeding her ego. They are her trophies. Women compare "like scores" with each other all the time. Call it a virtual anti-harem.

So what DO you do with Facebook? I use it to keep in touch with friends/family. I throw up a wall post maybe once a week or so with something funny or witty. If she likes your stuff consistently, she is at least interested in you as a person. Pictures? Me at a boat party with three hot chicks around me. Me with a hot chick I met at another party. Me skydiving. Me rock climbing. You get the idea. Your profile pic should be you DOING something (rock climbing, etc), not just you in a dorm room smiling like a chump. You need to project the image that you have a life and your life is awesome. It's easy to do this if your life is already awesome.

You don't add women you are sexually interested in, ideally. Let other people tag you in photos. That's a way a girl can find you on it. If you meet them in real life, try for a phone number first. If they just want to add you on facebook, let them (but don't make it the first option). They want to creeper-stalk you first. If they add you, accept (but wait a day or two). Let them creeper-stalk your facebook. They'll see awesome-sauce all over. It is NOT a replacement for actual attraction-building, but it gives you a good start and plenty of topics to talk about on the REAL date.

Communication with a woman via facebook is very short. Ideally just setting up the next physical date. Only initiate with a date setup. If she initiates, talk with her, but keep it short and leave on a high note. You don't want to look like you're clutching your phone hoping she'll message you. Keep the conversation topics for the real dates. GET THE BUFFERS OUT OF THE WAY AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE.

Remember, Facebook is not the end-all-be-all of your dating strategies nor should it ever be considered as such. It's just a tool you can use to your advantage, nothing more.

delete facebook and hit the gym. pick up girls in real life and on actual dating sites.

you'll find out who your real friends are in about a week.

if it turns out you don't have any real friends, then maybe you're a loser and should work on that.

Stay offline on Facebook. Nothing says "I've no life" more than spending the whole day on the site doing nothing.
I have my chat set to online for only a few friends and go online occasionally to talk to other people. Anyone asks why you're never on facebook "I'm too busy".
Phone Call > Text > Facebook Chat : Phone call is king, you can sort out a problem within 5 minutes with a call but it could take the guts of a few hours with the other two mediums.
Filter all bad pictures, you might think they're funny, they're not. You are basically selling yourself on Facebook. My friend had a booty call that was an hours drive away, he checked out her profile, all of them were basically bad pictures of her so he decided not to. If she had flattering photos up he would of gone.
Don't like stupid videos on Facebook.
Nothing says dumb bitch to me more than liking & sharing photos to win competitions.
Set up your facebook so you have to review anything that you are tagged in .... less problems down the line.
I personally don't wish anyone a "Happy Birthday" on facebook. I think it's a waste of time, half the people who say it to you wouldn't say boo to you on the street. I'd say it in person but never on Facebook. ( Hide your Birthday as well)
Don't have stupid debates on Facebook. There's a time and a place and it's not on Facebook.
Don't like photos and statuses posted by women. - (beta orbiters)
Don't play games on Facebook.
Don't like stupid pages on Facebook.
Grammar & spelling. We all make mistakes but do your best. I hate looking at textspit, you're not in a rush make an effort.
No one wants to hear your detailed analysis of the match.
