I discovered this subreddit a while back, but I started to check it daily around a year ago. Firstly, I would like to say I'm astonished, some of the things I've read here about female behaviour and how to act around females is unbelievably true.
Throw it back to four/five years ago, I was sixteen and considered myself extremely ugly. I made a minimal effort when it came to clothing, grooming and taking care of myself. I upped my game a bit when I started college (High School for my American brethren) and started to take myself a bit more seriously. I started dressing well, grooming and lost my virginity.
I ended up in an LTR with the girl who I first did the deed with, and she really messed me up. I was never a pushover prior to this girl, I had personal goals and ways of doing things that this girl totally stripped me off. It got to the point where I realised I was the bitch in the relationship, and I left.
This is where I upped my game, my first LTR wasn't the best looking, but she had a nice body. I'd push for a 7 at most, but during the first few months, she was kind and collected, a breath of fresh air in my life. Then she started taking cocaine and MDMA on a regular basis and ended up merging with the wrong crowd, which was a shame as she had great prospects and was a high achiever in school.
After getting over my oneitis, I decided to up my game to a whole new level. I started lifting whenever I could, studied the best grooming routines and started buying nice clothes. I also landed myself a solid job with good prospects, whilst gaining qualifications in Engineering (which was always my dream job since I was a kid) and this is where I started reading and studying this sub.
To my surprise, a year or so down the line just after my 18th birthday, things blew up. I had plates who I'd be messing around with regularly, and I was loving life. I was in a solid social circle (or at least I thought) and girls were talking to me a lot more and paying more attention to me. However, because I was young and stupid I would just get bored and get nudes from a few girls at the same time from the same college. My friends found it hilarious at first, but one day a couple of the girls got talking to each other and found out I was playing them all. (I know, don't shit where you eat, right?) Some of these girls were friendly with a few of my friends, but my friends were beta redefined. Every opportunity they had to get a slice, they would say something ridiculous or totally blow their opportunity to progress and fuck these girls and they didn't understand how I was doing it. Eventually, my friends started to grow jealous which lead to a massive breakdown within the group. I drifted away, met new people who were similar to me and had the same aspirations and goals as me and this improved me further.
Last year, I remember looking at myself and thinking 'I haven't ever been good at keeping eye contact, this needs to change' because I realised how crucial this is for any approach, conversation and it's a good negotiating tool to have good eye contact skills. I started trying to look at people more whilst keeping eye contact, and improved my ability to keep eye contact.
And that's when it hit me how much I have actually improved myself, although it may not be a lot to everyone over here, this sub and the people in it have helped me achieve things which I never thought I could. I'm literally so happy to be on this journey of self improvement, and I won't ever look back. I remember taking one of my plates to the local shopping centre the otherday, a girl who caught my eye walked in with her friends and she seemd a bit younger, maybe 18/19, and I immediately made eye contact with her and smirked, then used the honey eyes technique as I looked away. I turned around and literally heard this girl telling her friends how much she had the hots for me and wanted to find out my name. Obviously, if I wasn't with a plate I would've asked her name for myself - but it was just nice to flirt and keep a game going I guess. So, next stop for me is further improvement.
But for anyone new, keep improving. You'll love the results in the end.
