Discussed in my video today.

We all have negative thoughts coming into our minds from time to time.

For some that might be once a week and will have no effect on the man. The man knows its just a thought and can easily brush it aside.

For others these feelings might take over their mind entirely. They are bombarded with wave after wave of negative, self-loathing thoughts that bring their self-worth down to rock-bottom levels. These negative thoughts dominate that man's mind and body causing him to literally slouch with discontent and unpleasantness. To look down at the ground all the time instead of straight ahead with his chin held up.

There are ways to stop negative thoughts. Techniques that need to be trained like a muscle that will grow over time.

Some of these techniques include:

  • Thought Stopping
  • Enforcing Boundaries
  • Positive Affirmations

One of the biggest "must haves" for every man of the RP community is a healthy weight-lifting routine. We don't just advocate lifting heavy and doing compounds like squat, DL and bench because they make you the strongest. We also advocate them because they aid your body to produce and release the most levels of testosterone. Testosterone changes your body but also transforms your mind. You will find it hard to feel down about yourself when your quads and chest become swole.

But if you're morbidly obese you have to start changing your body immediately to change the mind. Your negative feelings may simply come from hating the way you look in the mirror. Dieting and Lifting will do wonders for that.

But if you truly want to get out of the cycle of negative thoughts and depression you need to attack the root cause. For some of you that may be getting over the pain from physical or emotional trauma from childhood.

If you are holding any resentment towards your parents I want you to start thinking about accepting the fact that they will need to be forgiven by you for you to move forward from that pain. Remember you are not doing it for them but doing it for you. This is something that I learned from Jesse Lee Peterson's show but is something he advocates all the time and you would be amazed at the amount of people who call him back to tell him how much better they feel in life after they do this.

I hope this post will be helpful to some of you, particularly the news guys. This post may be a reminder to those who have been a part of this community for years and to you I say feel free to skip my post. I want to reach out to those who are new here.. who are looking for answers on how to get out of the depressed rut they are in.
