Recently I was reading an article about a study which concluded that bullies actually aren't insecure about anything and actually end up less depressed and overall lead more happy fulfilling lives (someone ended up making a post about it in this subreddit). The study also mentioned something about a genetic component to dominance.

Now a lot of this falls in line with TRP philosophies: of course the bully would win in the end, dominant individuals are alpha, and alphas win period. But there is a huge component to this which involves sexual strategy.

You see we know that females are selective because they expend so many resources to child birth. This means that their strategy has involved making sure the child they birth happens to be the most genetically superior product (of the sample they were given). The success of her child, let's say, ultimately rests on its behavioral ability to reproduce, its ability to attract, to flirt, to be a Casanova, etc. Hence the following syllogism:

Define: Behaviorally reproduce: the ability to perform courtship, actions and (exhibit) attributes which increase the chances of reproduction.

If, females desire offspring that are able to behaviorally reproduce, And, females desire things that are genetic components, Then, the ability to behaviorally reproduce is a genetic component.

Sorry for the boring wall of text but essentially I am saying that the ability to be alpha may rest entirely in genetics.

But the even bigger conclusion is that it may, unfortunately, be so that it is actually beyond many of you in this sub and reading this post to EVER truly become alpha.

What do you guys think? Frightening for us betas no? As if there is no hope?

I guess well just have to use good ole' brain power.

Of course I might be wrong but its certainly a fascinating discussion.

Tl;dr You can never become alpha unless you have the genes.
