Nice post, recently going through some LTR issues where we have both changed alot for each other when we shouldnt have done and im trying to rectify that now, TRP helped me realise that changing for the other person may make them feel better short term but it damages the relationship because youre not being honest to yourself or your SO. Plus women dont even know what they want, what they say is a whole different thing

I think most of us will, at least time to time, find ourselves in an LTR. Some people on here are even married.

An interesting irony is that while most apply TRP to short-term relationships, it probably has just as much (if not more) applicability to long-term relationships. As the OP notes, it actually becomes more difficult to maintain your frame over longer periods of time, and to maintain the alpha/beta balance. But those things are key. In some ways, LTRs may be the true test of frame.

It is enticing to "relax", let your guard down. But you can never let your guard down.
