I have been reading about the tenets of evolutionary psychology for quite some time now in the form of books (the Red Queen, the blank slate), peer reviewed scientific articles, and also by watching videos and lectures of renowned academics (Gad Saad, David Buss) and have also taken multiple courses at my own university on the subject of evolutionary psychology. The amount of scientific evidence that has been accumulated on the subject is overwhelming, and I wholeheartedly believe in the established data regarding sexual dimorphism, sex based behavioral differences rooted in biology, and the evolution of male and female mating preferences. But as someone who searches for objective truth before adhering firmly to any set of beliefs, I like to look at two sides of the coin and examine things from multiple perspectives. As such, I have begun my journey into the world of feminists, gender ideologues, and far left liberals to examine the reasoning behind the vehement denial of the tenets of evolutionary psychology and search for any scientific evidence to support these claims, trying my hardest to remain as unbiased as possible. The result has been incredibly underwhelming and frustrating. Nearly 100% of the critiques of evopsych have not been grounded in any scientific research, but rather seem to be politically and ideologically motivated in the form of ad hominem attacks and vicious denial in the form of shaming tactics ("evopsych is a science for men who can't get laid"). In an effort to understand these critiques on a deeper level, I have tried to break down the encompassing evidence on this side in order to fully rationalize their sets of beliefs, but to no avail. The majority of responses, critiques, articles etc. seem to be spewed out in a nonsensical, word soupy, pseudointellectual form that leaves the reader more confused and frustrated after taking it in. I've made this post to get some insight from other red pillers on this phenomena, and to see if it is simply my bias or lack of prior knowledge that is preventing me from understanding the critiques from the feminist camp, or if the responses and critiques are simply disguised as credible but are actually pseudointellectual babble formed by combining fancy words together in order to confuse the reader and avoid any critical backlash. Again I merely want to find the truth on the matter, and am genuinely interested in whether not I am getting it wrong (rather than simply making this post to bash feminists and gender ideologues).
