If you read most of the material in this subreddit, is related to female infidelity and its motivations (basically hipergamy). But I think is interesting debating about the other case.

I want to tell you my case as I think it can show you an interesting perspective.

I started dating women online after a LTR. At some stage started dating a woman I really liked. But because I was working with other alternatives, I had the option to date other women too.

With this girl I liked, I started a relationship, but we are talking about 5-6 dates with her. Then I had the chance to stay with another woman.

Probably was unethical or dishonest from my side. I had the inner doubt about both options. What really struck me, and the reason why I bring here the debate, is the idea maybe red pill says I had to chase other women too, while I had the chance.

First of all, I wasn't in a proper relationship, or not yet. We just had a few very good dates. No meeting friends or family from the other side. In a established relationship, I think is just dishonest.

But I was surprised with myself because I wanted to do the right think not for moral reasons, just because I liked the lazy path: stay with the woman, try to see if it works, etc. and also dating, with the fear of rejection, all the energy you have to put on pushing forward. Instead of the hard style option: stay with as much as possible women, take risks and the control of the relationship.

I really started to think there were something wrong with the idea of "I did all the right things, if it doesn't work, is not my fault". It is difficult to express, but the idea I would like to tell you is probably you should not start a relationship without having done anything wrong. It will help you to stop thinking on the idea of a perfect couple, the unicorn, etc. At the same time, test your mental strength: You prove yourself you are able to do something wrong, assume the consequences.

It can be also helpful if something happens in the future - she cheats on you. You will feel less pain and probably will move on easily.
