The popular website/app The Chive is awesome in many ways with their random humor galleries and how they give back to charity. But it gives off a very "bandwagon" feel. I'm sure there's more the picture I'm not seeing and mentioning but these are the common things that seem to come up, especially in the context of TRP... Please correct or educate me if I'm totally wrong here.

The main things that bug me though are not the all the hot girls posting pictures of themselves, but all the hot girls posting pictures of themselves. In many ways its basically /r/gonewild softcore version with the "keep calm and chive on" pasted somewhere on their body. "First time chivette! Look at my boobs/legs/ass!"... Just tons of validation seeking! But perhaps the views drive the revenue that helps the charities... Whatever. It just seems like an excuse to get compliments.

Also, wearing a chive shirt or having something from the chive apparently automatically makes you "awesome". I've heard guys talk about girls buying them drinks simply because of that. Meetups by the Chive are apparently almost a sure way to get a lay for the night.

Anyways just want to hear some thoughts on the girls and mentality that comes into play with this "group", and how TRP mentality could apply in any way.
