30 Is the New 50: Old Age Is Killing My Dating Life

I pulled this off of DrudgeReport, so I'm sorry if this is a repost. I did look through the front page.

Anyway, what's most interesting to me about this article revolves around two points.

First, Jenny Bahn, the author, is obviously embittered by the realization that the man she's dating is eight years older than her and only now beginning to hit his stride, while her biology is betraying her at 30. She sarcastically describes her date saying, "Alex The Architect is amazing!" or "Alex, of course, self-professed amazing person that he is..."

It is truly shocking to me, even knowing the amount of propaganda women are subjected to, that ladies like Ms. Bahn miss the obvious reality that is waiting for them when they hit the wall.

Secondly, she admits to the fundamental reality of the wall, despite strongly implying that she has swallowed the feminist lie that men should want her for "herself". Just check this paragraph out:

It’s this logic that has most of my 30-something guy friends dating girls fresh out of college. Girls who, in my experience, are less impressive, less striving, less volatile, less successful, less intimidating, less questioning, less pressing, less complex, less damaged, less opinionated, less powerful, less womanly. They are less, and, to a guy not ready for anything—like most of the guys I have dated in New York—less is more.

First, let's take a moment to scoff at the idea that "less damaged" is anything but an asset.

Wait.

Still not over.

Okay, next point.

So, this is a woman who apparently believes in the feminist paradigm. Obviously, there's nothing wrong with her wanting to be powerful/successful/opinionated/etc. However, this does not change the reality that is smacking her in the face: if a man has any desire for kids or a beautiful wife/LT partner, he has to marry a young woman. Sure, Cameron Diaz is still a babe, but that's part of why she's a movie star. For the vast majority of women, youth is the key to beauty, something Jenny has realized too late to be of much help.

Don't take it from us, alone, if you're in doubt. Stop and listen to the bitter pontifications of women who also tried to deny reality.

edit: Added flair.
