Foreword:
This might seem as a regular, once-per-week kind of post, and that’s because it sure is. The issue explained here is and always will be a great issue. Although action is praised beyond everything else on this sub, it is very often forgotten during the regular day. People, I and probably you too, roll into the week with some plans, however those plans are rarely realized due to lack of motivation, discipline and other things. Have you ever wondered what would be if you studied a little more for that exam? Where would you be if you took that guitar and learn to play as you said you were 10 years ago? Why are we like this and how it hurts our development? I hope this bait words got you interested into reading this post whole, so hear me out.
My experience:
This part is meant to be here purely for better understanding the issue, if you don’t feel like reading this you can skip to the next text in bold. Goal of this intro is to spark introspective questions and awareness, so that you can find the examples in your life and deal with them with the barrel of that metaphorical improvement gun pointing in the right direction from start. Enough with the gibberish and let us start: Being a teenager, I found Red Pill and had taken the posts here word for word on a regular basis. Way until now I haven’t noticed the simple but detrimental flaw in my improvement action, and that literally is the lack of it. Delaying simple daily ‘battles’(read: task, goal) for that extra time for mental masturbation and meaningless shit (read: browsing social media, gaming, etc etc). Recent events and introspection revealed this problem I and probably most of you even in the slight have. Planning ahead is a good thing, but the execution of that plan is what counts. While I was busy planning how to do a certain thing ,(be it approaching, taking a exam or completing a mundane task ) I have covered all the possible routes the execution might take, while simultaneously spending that time not actually doing anything. Waiting for that perfect moment to take action was a waste of all those other moments I could have acted upon, and almost every one of them proved to be better than the waiting. Winning in even the smallest battle in daily grind is a twig thrown in the fire of your improvement, without the small twigs you can’t ignite the big logs which will burn bright for longer.
Theory:
Self-discipline is a muscle of some sort, it can be worked on just the way you work your muscles in the gym (at least I hope you do).Winning small battles during the week helps you gather confidence, which helps you attack other, more complex tasks. This initial start is one of great importance; it adds fuel to the power of your will and helps you keep going. Action precedes confidence, confidence precedes action, with minor actions you will build that muscle a little stronger. There was a short story I read a while ago, it went something like this: A tutor offered a single shirt to his students and said that if they want it, they can come and take it. Off course everyone wanted it; it was a sponsor shirt with logo on it, a logo of a highly appreciated company in their field. Yet minutes passed without anyone stepping up and actually taking it until one guy gathered the balls and take it. There are a variety of moral points which could be drawn from this allegory, but the one that is of interest in this post is that people who act get the results, people who only theorize and overthink do not. Be the one who thinks, but remember to solidify those thoughts into action.
Excuse
Excuses keep us in a vicious circle where nothing is done and still we don’t take the blame for it. Often we find excuses that are only slightly tangential with our task, sometimes not even important for it. Also, beware of endlessly watching and reading on self-improvement without actually putting learned things into use. Many people use these kind of videos, articles and how to-s to inflate their sense of doing things and improving, while they don’t. Is this self-help journey bearing any fruits? If yes, then you’re good. If not, it’s time to find out why, making up excuses might be the reason.
Effect
The effect of making out excuses is a no brainer; it hurts your progress towards that thing/person you really want to own/be/fuck. The point discussed in this post, as you can tell, is common knowledge, yet it isn’t seen often in society today. This simple mentality can turn your life around, and I’m not exaggerating here. Act causes effect, to get the act you must take action, and to take action you have to stop making excuses. Again this is nothing new, but is one of the fundamental and forgotten things you have to do.
Conclusion
Don’t expect to rule the sexual marketplace if you don’t carry that winning mentality during the day-to-day grind. Small steps eventually lead to big steps. Every time you’re waiting acknowledge that the perfect conditions for taking perfectly executed action will rarely, maybe never happen, so why not do it now? Take action and stop waiting, take the steering wheel of fate into your own hands and guide it towards success. If you won’t, nothing else will.
