Every person has the exact same purpose: self-actualization. To express the highest version of ourselves, moment to moment to moment. What one can be, one must be.

Everyone’s purpose is the same, but the mission through which we work towards that purpose is unique.

As a TRP male, you should be aware of the fact that purpose is priority. Your goal is to minimize the gap between what you are capable of being and what you are actually being, moment to moment to moment.

I consider self-esteem a key indicator of how well we are living in alignment with our purpose. As Nathaniel Brandon explains:

"Any time we have to act, to face a challenge, to make a moral decision, we affect our feelings about ourselves for good or bad - depending on the nature of our response and the mental process behind it"

Self-esteem is the reputation we acquire with ourselves, and every decision you make should be based on how it affects your self-esteem. There is no staying the same, only moving forward or moving back.

In his book, “The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem”, Nathaniel Brandon proposes the six elements that determine ones self-esteem. Checking yourself constantly on these six pillars will allow you to more consistently involve in activities that bring you closer to your goals.

1) The practice of living consciously “To live consciously means to seek to be aware of everything that bears on our actions, purposes, values, and goals, and to behave in accordance with that which we see and know"

It is a human tendency to act based on emotions and feeling rather than logic and consciousness. As a TRP male, it is essential that you develop the awareness to do what needs to be done whether you feel like it or not.

2) The practice of self acceptance “Our willingness to experience rather than to disown whatever may be the facts of our being at a particular moment."

This does not mean that you accept yourself for being a fat, broke, loser playing warcraft in your mom’s basement all day everyday. This means that you are a friend to yourself. If you were truly a friend to yourself you would have your best interests at heart and wouldn’t involve in activities that bring you down.

3) The practice of self-responsibility “Taking responsibility for your actions and the attainment of your goals"

Disregard the factors you can’t control, and take responsibility for EVERYTHING else. Put together an action plan for the achievement of your desires. Measure yourself based on how well you stick to the plan.

4) The practice of self-assertiveness “Honouring your wants, needs, and values and seeking appropriate forms of their expression in reality"

You are not here to live up to any one else’s expectations. As Joe Rogan says, become the hero of your own movie. Stop being a spectator. Express your intentions. Go for what you know is right.

5) The practice of living purposely “To live purposely is to use our powers for the attainment of goals we have selected"

To live without purpose is to live at the mercy of chance. The whole point of this post is to develop a standard by which to judge what is or is not worth doing. You have to develop the discipline to build the habits that organize your behaviour in the service of specific tasks.

6) The practice of personal integrity “Integrity is the integration of ideals, convictions, standards, beliefs, and behaviour."

We have integrity when our behaviours are in line with our professed values. When we behave in ways that conflict with our judgment of what is appropriate, we lose face in our own eyes. Integrity means when your words and behaviours match.

When you act against what you yourself regard as right, if your actions clash with your expressed values, then you act against your judgement and betray your mind.

TL;DR - 1) Know what you want and where you want to go. 2) Identify the actions necessary to achieve your goals. 3) Monitor your behaviour to check if it is in line with your goals. 4) Pay attention to the outcomes of your actions and adjust along the way.
