What does hot look like? Blurry, apparently.

Not surprising. Attractive people are attractive because of the proportions and symmetry of the face. Overlay a bunch of properly proportioned, symmetrical faces on to each other and there will appear to be relatively little differences between the faces.

Guys overlays lots of pictures of attractive and unattractive people to find composites. Turns out attractive people are attractive in the same way; ugly people are all different.
The most interesting aspect, to me, is the incoherence seen in the ‘unattractive’ averages. Attractive faces seem to conform to a basic attractive structure, with little variance of internal features. Unattractive faces have more varying features – this would explain why the unattractive averages are less coherent.
So that's where Handsome Jack's face came from.

Yeah. I read a book that said the same thing about 6 years ago. You would not believe the amount of hate I got suggesting this was the case to people.

What I notice is that for the female face, the most significant characteristics seem to be the "chubbiness" of the face (average seems leaner), and also the direction of the eyes (the attractive average seems to angle the eyes downwards while the unattractive average seems to have more horizontal eyes).

These blurry photos seem to explain why drinking works more than anything....
