This might get recommended for posting in /r/asktrp, but in case it does stick around in the main sub, I'll make an offer.
This sub is a motley crew of (mostly) guys from different walks of life. Some of us are bitter, angry, and struggling with misogyny, but aspiring to be more cool, detached, and fun. We recognize that it's hard, especially getting started, to let go of the negative feelings and seize the quality ahead of us in the rest of our lives. Some of us have already gone through that transition and are a bit more sagacious about relationships. There are, admittedly, a few legitimate pathological misogynists who post here, calling women "sluts" and advocating for extreme domination/humiliation in relationships. Feminists seize on posts by the most extreme members here and hold them up as representative, and because of the house rules, we do not self-police tone, except quietly through voting.
On average, though, what you'll mostly find are guys who have been hurt by rejection, possibly cheated on, and are looking to find their own power within themselves, to be able to find happiness incidental to the approval of women. This is a threat to women because social power is their domain the way financial power is ours, hence the tremendous anxiety they exhibit toward this sub and any man attempting to empower himself to be happy without them.
What you can gain from this sub is the actual tools to be powerful. There isn't a whole lot of feel-good encouragement here. It's a straight how-to guide on living as a powerful man. Absorb what is useful and reject what doesn't jive with the person you honestly are.
