Why are my standards in attractiveness lower when Im stressed out or tired?

your cortisol rises and testosterone lowers when your stressed out apparently. There was a ted talk on it, it was on something about leadership in people and they found that ppl who can handle situations properly had lower cortisol and higher testosterone. (I'm just paraphrasing, might have paraphrased it wrong)

When I'm in sleep deprivation and stressed out mode, all my thought processes are not functioning properly. In fact, last night, I noticed a distinct division between my logical thinking and the rest.

It's hard to describe, but I'm a pretty visual thinker, and the cannabis may have exerted influence to make this whole thing more obvious to me, but it was like a part of my subconscious thinking was available to me and it was a mess. Thoughts all over the place and nothing productive, completely counterproductive.

But my logical thinking was still there, and seemed more like a part of my conscious thought, not a spillover of that greater machine that is usually hidden (subconscious).

I was going to draw a picture of the model I came up with but eventually, and thankfully, I fell asleep.

I have not noticed this having much of an effect on my standards of attractiveness, but it does begin to revive elements of beta that I worked so hard to contain. Caring about things that, when well rested, I just don't give a fuck about.

tl;dr: Stay high, stay hydrated. Wait, what?

When you are stressed and tired, you are less interested in sex and more in comfort, love, validation, and the other "mommy" things.

That's a strange way to look at it. There's nothing wrong with fucking a 7 if you feel like it. Your mind is just adapting to the circumstances of that particular day, maybe it's a bad day or you're in a dry spell. It's not ideal but it's not a total loss either unless there are some hidden repercussions.
