As for their behavior, you're confusing beta traits (providership) with alpha traits (fitness, dominance). These guys are terrible providers, but completely dominate the headspace of their women. Considering the environment, I'm not surprised their poor looks aren't an impediment.

The SMP in Italy is the same as everywhere else, you're just in a shit environment (which you should leave) where standards are low all around. Keep in mind that there's no absolute scale of attraction, female attraction is always situation and opportunistic.

Are you sure about this? I live in Malta, that tiny island just below Sicily and we have inherited much of the Italian culture. Believe me that Hypergamy is alive and kicking and I also see dozens upon dozens of women whom bang the chads and then complain that they are pigs when they bail and leave them knocked up. The only thing that the chads have against them is that the island is so small its hard for them to just disappear without a trace unless they escape to another country.

women are women and in bed they have fun, a lot, but in public people have to pretend to be fake Catholics.

Same rule applies in my country, which we probably copied from the Italians.

There was a longitudinal study that women in countries with a lower GDP settle for lower SMV men than those who have higher GDPs. This has nothing to do with hypergamy but that they value wallets more. So what you are seeing is not a lack of hypergamy, but women realizing they need to hold on to betas because they are more dependent than capitalist countries. From my travels overseas and experiences, branchswinging is way more common and highly accepted among women as long as you don't lose the wallet of your beta.

The baker in Assissi told me this when I was there for a week. "If you're with a woman, you will only be able to use your dick or your wallet. Pick wisely."
