Background, my wife and I found each other in college. Before me, she had had a couple of Chads that had treated her like shit. I was the nice guy (typical friend but not boyfriend kinda guy) that came along and we both decided that we were right for each other, got married and have raised two awesome kids. Overall, a good 23+ year marriage and we have built a pretty good and debt free life. I would describe us as average physically. She is not a Barbie and I am not a Chad but we both exercise regularly and we aren't obese. Well about 1.5 years ago, I learned that she had had an affair (mostly emotional but with an ONS) with a (you guessed it) loser gym rat Chad. After I caught her, she stopped immediately and appears to have learned her lesson. Though that event blew up our marriage, we have decided to reconcile and make things work. And yes, I do still love her and the sex is good. That is the thing about infidelity, it makes the man feel like a total chump/loser and destroys your self confidence and masculinity. What do you guys think? Am I being a beta to try to work on things and reconcile?
