To get straight to the point, I'm not the most witty person around. I'd consider myself reasonably intelligent though I'm not the best at making small talk or talking about things that I find insignificant (would much rather talk about world politics than about which celebrity did what). I realize this may make me come across as being more serious than most people my age (early 20s) however it's who I am and I don't think I can really change.

The problem with this is that gaming girls while trying to discuss world issues is not easy and very often, not successful. In light of this, I was wondering what TRP thought about taking a more direct approach in such situations. I'm open to any and all advice and as this is TRP I expect no bullshit. I'm just looking to learn.
