I initially tried posting this on RPW but was redirected to askwomen by a RPW mod. I seriously doubt that sub will be of any help to me so I'm just going to go ahead and ask you guys here. Post below:

I went over to this girls house last night. We went out once before and this time I suggested bringing over a bottle of wine and just enjoying each other's company. The night goes well, things happen and we move to the bedroom.

We had spoken earlier about past relationships and I found out that she hadn't seen or been with anyone in a while. As things were progressing in bed she asks me if I have a condom (I had come over after work and forgot them in my locker). Not wanting to kill the tension we decide to proceed anyway when I noticed a really strong smell (the fishy kind).

It was my first time dealing with something like that and it just killed my desire so I had to stop. She asked me why and I said something about not wanting to get too carried away without protection (she agreed saying she wasn't on the pill anyway as it had been so long). I stayed to talk to her for a bit after as I didn't want her to feel used and I think I handled it pretty as I made my way to get out of there.

I know she's going to try and contact me again and try and set something up but honestly after that experience whatever desire I had for her is dead. I just want to know how to let her down gently as this is a sensitive issue (for her at least) and not one that I'm familiar dealing with. Thoughts?
