Keto has tangible, real world results that have been corroborated by top athletes, movie stars, ECs and individuals such as myself as being the diet to effectively show off abs in a practical manner.

Where is your reasoning for writing off keto as a diet?

You come on here, prostrating yourself, seeking the truth- you're given the truth, that your abs exist irregardless of your exercise routine, and they're not showing themselves because you're a fat ass who can't control his eating.

Let me tell you something about abs, getting a six pack, and keto. It's super simple.

All you need to do to have visible abs is to be able to squat and deadlift at least 1.5x your weight and have close to 11% body fat.

That is all.

There's no magic.

No tricks.

No special secret techniques.

Cut the carbs.

Train your body to burn that belly fat hiding your abs.

And train at a decent weight.

You're welcome.

Coming in here trying to tell us how abs are shown when you can't even see your own. The fuck outta here with that shit, obviously you don't know shit about what it takes to get your abs on display or you wouldn't be here, asking how to get your abs to show.

One way or another, your body breaks down fats into ketones to get rid of the fat you store within yourself.

Ketosis is a natural state your body enters, I'd daresay the default state until commercial farming became a thing, that your body utilizes to maintain adaptability.

You have two options when burning fat-

You can swim with the current and ride the wave of ketosis to victory.
You can be dragged kicking and screaming by the current, and starve yourself to enter ketosis, and have your miserable ass washed up on shore.

Ketosis is not some "fad diet."

Ketosis is a healthy and normal function of the human body.

Do not get yourself all twisted by writing off the process just because some ketogenic purists tried to have you sign up for their cult. A keto diet, much like TheRedPill, is a toolbox where things are tested and work to achieve your goals, whatever they may be.

One way or another, he'll need to turn that fat hiding his abs into ketones. There's no way around it. All I tried to do was streamline it for him. Trying to lose fat when your body isn't very good at burning fat is hell, I think anyone who has done any serious dieting and exercise can attest to that.

Beggars can't be choosers- people pay for this golden advice that he's flippantly writing off. I could give two fucks if you guys manage to achieve and maintain a set of visible abs- it ultimately lowers the value of my set by "flooding the market." Be grateful that anyone shares anything with you kids at all.

I guess you glazed over the deadlift/squat recommendation.

He didn't give us any pictures or body fat percentage numbers, so I think it's clear that he's hiding the problem.

I could give two shits whether I'm downvoted or not, the theory was tested by myself and I'm simply relaying the information I gathered, as a result.

The op disregards keto for no real reason, and you both seem to disagree with the premise of my argument.

But you're missing one key element to earn yourself an upvote over a downvote.

Neither of you presented evidence on why keto wouldn't be effective for this problem.

Since both of you seem to be ignorant about how the body works on a fundamental level, I can only assume that the entire premise of your non-argument is flawed and can be safely discarded.

If OP is training in a way that is not utilizing his core, then he is not training. Period. He's not following the basic guide found on the sidebar on how to get in shape. We're operating under the assumption that he has done the most obvious, most fundamental, and most talked about subject since the inception of trp: lift heavy shit, put it back down. Repeat.

Barring that, his only other issue should be diet. Diet accounts for approximately 80% of an effective, aesthetically pleasing physique, regardless of goals. No amount of crunches will make up for the fact that the op is probably hiding the fact that he doesn't Deadlift or squat heavy, and that he's eating food that's a step up from garbage.

I have big arms, a big chest, huge delts, and even when I’m at a decently low bodyfat%, I never see them.

Notice how he doesn't say anything about his quads, glutes, or calves? He's skipping leg day, everyday. Case closed.

Another trade secret:

You can get yourself off of keto after about a year and still enjoy the benefits longterm.

Why?

Fat adaptation.

The ability for your body to not only burn fat for energy, but for the cells in your body to efficiently utilize fat as a fuel source. Not only that, but it can quickly and effortlessly switch between ketosis and carb burning, now that your body learned how to "ride the bicycle" that is ketosis.

Diet, itself, is like a muscle to be trained.

If you don't work it out, it atrophies, like anything else that you don't use.

After one year, I can effectively maintain my Sixpack whilst eating all sorts of junk food, like pizza, beer, yogurt, cookies, milk, sandwiches, etc.

The secret?

Intermittent fasting. One meal a day in my case.

Of course there are segments of the week where I eat my 20-50grams of carbs as the limit, within my one-hour eating window.

That's called work. Maintenance.

If you're not willing to do what needs to be done to succeed.

If you're not willing to give up something to gain something.

Then you don't deserve to reap the benefits.

Those who cannot sacrifice anything, cannot change anything.
