Started working out seriously for about 6 months now and have been seeing some gains, bettering my form, etc. My stats: 5’10 - 165 lb - Age: 20 Squat: 135 Deadlift: 185 Bench: 135

Definitely not a noob, but still learning everyday. One thing I’ve neglected is hitting abs, partly because I want to focus on gaining mass, but also because I dislike working them. And here’s my question: Has neglecting abs this whole time, while developing my other muscles to a fair amount (noob gains) are there any downsides to this? Such as causing more risk of muscle imbalance or something.

Also, I have a very stiff left mid back, and a have been having shoulder problems on my left side as well. This, I believe, has caused me to have problems while squatting, deadlifting, and even benching. My left shoulder is weaker than my right as well. I’ve been hanging on chin up bar as I heard it helps with shoulder weirdness. I’ve also started to foam roll my back.

Any advice?
