Dear RP Ladies

Firstly , great Sub I've lurked for years. I have a dilemma I wish to discuss. I am best friends with a male. We are two entirely different people but share many interests. And both belong to the local Chess club. We primarily play chess with folks are own age 30. We have great fun as chess leads to many good conversations etc. I noticed a few months ago that our games were attracting younger age group. Girls as young as 14 ! I thinking games is great fun...and mixing ages is of no consequence. We all frequent the Starbucks after chess and when I was there last month , I notice my chess partner and best friends male 30 sitting in the corner of Starbucks talking to 14 year old girl. I went right over and introduced myself at he dismay of my "bff". I asked her age and promptly asked her dismiss herself and informed her of his age. My friend was furious. I felt it was my civic duty to this especially since I knew his age and she did not. We have had a falling out with him saying they were just talking. I should mention he's a very sexually charged person. I know I did the right thing but may have cost me a friendship. I'm disappointed in my friend and do not see his point. Thanks for indulging me, opinions ladies.
