Note: I am in HS

A few weeks ago a HB9 sent me a message, and I asked her out, but she said she has to visit some grandparents or whatever, probably bullshit. She then tried to initiate 2 more conversations which I just ignored since it seemed she tried to make me an orbiter. She usually responded really fast to my messages too, even thought I mustve sent only 2 or 3.

Its now like 2 weeks afterwards (have been more busy than any other time in my life so far) and I wanted to ask her out again.

My question is, if a girl is trying to make you an orbiter, like in my example, do you just move on or is it just a lost battle?
