Met a girl on Tinder recently, got her number, exchanged a few more texts then asked her on a date:
Me: Anyway Linda as much as i love being pen pals, we should grab a drink together. Tuesday night work for you?
Her: Ah yeah hahaha where did ya go? Haha where abouts ?
Me: I'm at (suburb) so how about (bar near me)?
Her: I'm just thinking I have uni on wed morn 🤔
Me: Not sure what wild ideas you had in mind but rest assured it's not gonna be an all-nighter
Her: Ahahah I know I'm just saying I wouldn't be able to be out for long haah
I know i'm overthinking, but I often run into situations where i'm not sure if it's better to try hard to close (push for the date in this case), or act indifferently to show i have options and let it go for now (tell her we will do another time and hit her up at a later date).
My thinking is, as its tinder, she has a lot of options so closing ASAP prevents external factors from spoiling my chances. Also, as we have never met there is little attraction and so she would hardly care if we never went on a date. On the other hand, I don't wanna push too hard and seem needy/beta.
Thoughts?
