What are your thoughts on apologizing to a plate? I’m not talking about apologizing when you didn’t do anything wrong just to please her, I’m talking situations where you’re willing to admit to yourself that you fucked up. Should you ever admit that to her and apologize?

I’ll give you a recent scenario as an example. A few nights ago I was in a bad place emotionally, combined with lack of sleep, made me do something kinda silly. I texted a plate that I was meant to see the next day that we should cancel and it would be best if we don’t see each other anymore (I know this was very not RP, you don’t have to tell me I slipped).

The next morning I came to my senses and somehow managed to reframe and backpedal from my previous statement. Still the girl was acting cold (which is reasonable considering I just dumped her and changed my mind). Scheduling a next date is kinda wishy washy at the moment.

If this was a male friend I would definitely swallow my pride and apologize, because I know I messed up and was straight up disrespectful for their time and feelings. But this is a woman after all, so I don’t know if an apology will even be appreciated (if not worse).
