Another area that this intersects with is the concept of hypergamy which is basically a woman's imperative to seek the highest status man. The "endgame" of why they seek the highest status man varies. In this case it was wealth and her hypergamous endeavor failed. In other cases the endgame objective is sex, social status, superior genetics, etc.

So yeah...when it comes to hypergamy AWALT tends to be the universal case.
