The first time I met this woman she introduced this guy as her boyfriend. I did what I always do--initiate eye contact, talk to her never compliment.

Next time I see her in the same place, I do the same thing. She seems down with it again. More IOI's, more eye contact. But now she describes the "boyfriend" of last time as "this guy I'm kinda seeing." Didn't number close/escalate as he was not more than 6 feet away.

What is up with that?
