Buying drinks?

If I buy a girl a drink I buy 'us' a 'round'. If she's into you she will offer to buy the next round. This will make it easier to skylight her if she's just using you for drinks because she won't make the offer and the vibe will be off. If it becomes apparent she's using you, use her as social proof and excuse yourself for X reason. Cut your loses and consider it an investment in training yourself to spot those types sooner.

If she's not using you, go outside for a smoke or somewhere quiet and talk to her, escalate from there.

It usually works for me.

You can't negotiate desire, so if that's what you're doing, stop.

Buying a drink as a covert contract is also not acceptable.

If you're living month to month, don't be spending cash on other people (and cut back on your own drinking).

But "never" is too strict of a word. There can be situations where buying someone else a drink isn't negotiating desire, a covert contract, or a financial waste.

In my opinion only if you really want to do it truly by heart. Otherwise no.

If you still want to go for it, you can still pull it off by leading her to the bar and afterwards like "well i decided against it". What I sometimes do is to get tap water shots and make fun of her for thinking I'll buy her drinks.

I would spend drinks when I feel like, like I would feel for a friend, never to get any advantage out of it.

There's nothing wrong with buying a round or a couple of shots because it's fun to take shots with other people.

I don't ever actually buy a cocktail or beer though for a girl I meet at a bar unless it's a few people and we are taking turns with rounds.
