Right, a bit of back story. There's this girl who is a family friend. Last year I found out she liked me and I liked her back, but at a party I showed more interest in her friend like an idiot and I guess this made her jealous/mad at me.

Fast forward a few weeks and I ask her out. She says no and pretends she didn't even like me at all even though I know she did. Oh well, I say okay fair enough, and left it at that.

Ever since then, over the past 6 months, whenever I see her at parties or out, she acts weird around me. I walk in the room and she instantly goes quiet and is clearly nervous around me. She says hello to all our other friends but she will blank me for a few hours until she's had a few drinks, at which point the IOIs begin. She'll start making strong eye contact for seconds at a time and getting a bit touchy feely. Asking for massages, etc. This happens every time.

Anyway the other night I meet up with our group at a bar. I sit down and everyone says hello, but of course she sits there in silence and doesn't even look at me. Few hours later the eye contact starts again but we ended up getting split up. In my drunken state when I got home, I message her and basically call her out on her shit. I ask her why there's always tension between us and that I never know where I stand with her. She replies later saying there's not and to stop messaging her...

I don't get it. If we were just friends and there was nothing going on, why am I treated this way? Why act nervous and shy around me, but then start staring and being touchy once she's had a few drinks? It's like she's attracted but resents me at the same time. I don't persue her, I don't flirt with her, I don't do anything wrong.

Normally I wouldn't put too much thought into something like this with any other girl, but I'm good friends with her parents too and now I'm worried I've ended up making myself look bad by calling her out. The next time we all see each other I'm gonna feel awkward as fuck.
