I'm 29, studied engineering, now just transitioning into sales. Since you're here I think you want to be the best. I'll lay out two possible career paths for you that are the best I've seen:

ELITE: Get yourself into an elite university (Ivy or Stanford) by getting all A's in a quantitative field (engineering, etc.) at whatever school you are now for ~2 years and also either co-author two research papers with a professor or organize and run a 50-person charity organization in a developing country. This is really hard. Transfer as soon as possible but you might have to finish your 4 year degree where you are and go to an elite school for a Master's or PhD degree. From there, either become a professor (if you like teaching and academic status) or do on-campus recruiting for banking or consulting (if you like money and business status) with the goal of working at Goldman Sachs or McKinsey, first for internships and then full-time. After 2 or 3 years there, get an MBA at a top-5 program, then go back to a management role making $$$. When you see a great opportunity, start a business that you own the majority of, using your sales, connections and management skills gained through your years of work.
SALES: Major in something technical (engineering, etc.) and also lead a fraternity and/or sports team. Get internships in commission-based sales jobs and progress into higher-end sales and team management. After graduation get a technical sales job selling expensive ($100k+) technical products and making $$$. When you see a great opportunity, start a business that you own the majority of, using your sales, connections and management skills gained through your years of work.

Ultimately, being successful (rich, leading other men) makes people happiest. Helping others is a blue-pill ambition, but there's plenty of opportunities to help others on your way to the top.

For teaching, sales training is the high $$$ option, and a PhD is the high-status option. For politics, you need to make at least $10 million in business first if you want any real power. For personal training, this is a lower-middle-class career, so you can do better.

Always go with your interests. I have made six figures a year and went to being essentially homeless. In the end you will only be happy if you have a job that you like.

I'd personally choose something which will enable you to start your own business. So personal trainer over teacher in your given examples.
