CAREER - Should I answer the answer the "equal opportunity" questions when applying for jobs?

Interested in this as well. I have read studies that it's beneficial to be a white male and you get more looks on your resume. However, my gut tells me that every time I select white male, it would be easier to get a job as a non-binary, queer, tri-gender attack helicopter.

Hand your resume/application to whoever in person and it won't be much of a problem. If your a white male, check white male not everything in the world is about sexual strategy and feminism.

As much as people might want you to believe, it's very rare to lose a job:

Your qualified for
You identify with and agree with the company culture (probably the biggest thing in getting any job that is so overlooked)
You can hit the ground running and produce for the company

Because of your race/gender.

Stop worrying about what check boxes to check and focus on finding a company that has a culture that your agree with personally.
