I have recently graduate with a history degree and have come across the problem of little actual career prospects. Right now I'm faced with either working in sales or recruitment both of which I don't see as long term careers for me. I have been told that accountancy or law are both suitable career paths that most history graduates, that actually choose to do something with their lives, take. Personally, I have decided on the accountancy route and was wondering if anyone could point towards some reading material or give me some advice on how I could make this transition. Naturally, despite my history degree, I enjoy working with numbers and am fine to make this switch.
