Has anybody on this sub reddit actually had decent success with the cold approach in the UK?

I think like in America it is a good tactic because everyone is a lot more friendly and conversing with strangers is a natural thing.

In my experience living here my whole life it's pretty uncommon to strike up conversations for no reason in the street and pretty much 99% are very closed to it and people are a lot more strangers, leading me to think that isn't a great tactic over here.

If anyone who has lived in the UK for a decent amount of time can give me their views on this it would be much appreciated.
