Good shit bro. It takes some balls to cold approach so you should be proud.

Obviously, your conversations need to improve but that will take some practice.

My advice is don't get hung up on, "darn I thought I had shot." You have lots of shots. You have millions of shots. Thats why cold approaching is a numbers game.

Did you notice body language or any IOI's?

After you told her where you are from, you should then introduce yourself ( Name ) and then ask her name.

You fucked up by telling her she was pretty ( validation ) - ask for her number, OR say lets go get drinks ( not -I was hoping we could hang out )

I have the potential to talk smooth and I have the whit but for some reason I just froze up and became so not interesting! What happened?

Practice talking to people without trying to get a number. You'll be a lot more at ease when there isn't some kind of planned endgame.

"Where are you from?" - is ok, but at least for my taste a little lame.

Try not to comcentrate on "the one" which you might think is "in your league" but check the room, which is the best (your taste) approach her slowly open at the buffet and keep eye contact.

Then just say "Hello" - pause - "I like what i see!" Do not break eye contact first.

That way you have a flirtatious opening at a buffet.

If she responds with a sour "what do you mean????" or "i am not alone here" or whatever.

you upgrade to "the beef looks so delicious, don't you think so?"

if she loughs, you won and start kino (if you are in a country which has no laws against that).

Allways keep in mind, the maximum discomfort is some words or a slap. If she boxes you on the arm and says "get away you creep!" you can put something from the buffet on her plate or in her mouth. Just escalate from beginning.

It is weird, but the bolder the aproach the easier it is from my experience.
